Arthroscopy & Arthroscopy Surgery

ARTHROSCOPY is a minimally invasive procedure that Orthopedic surgeons use to visualize and treat problems inside a joint. An endoscope is inserted into the joint using a small incision. The view inside the joint is transmitted to a monitor and the joint is visualized from inside to detect any problem which can be rectified subsequently using pencil size equipments and small implants . Advantage of Arthroscopy over traditional open surgery is that the joint does not have to beopened fully. This reduces recovery time and increases the chance of success due to less trauma to body tissue. Arthroscopy can be done under regional or general anesthesia.

Why it's done? Orthopedic surgeons use Arthroscopy to help diagnose and treat a variety of joint conditions, most commonly those affecting the: Knee ::: Shoulder ::: Hip ::: Ankle
